oh so that's not the Archaeopteryx toho monster.
Saw the thumb nail and thought you were alluding to the Hollow Earth storyline being brought back.
While it never got made, there was originally going to be a different third Godzilla movie back in the day. Instead of (King Kong vs Godzilla) it was going to be (Bride of Godzilla) in which it would be discovered the kaiju came up from a hollow Earth filled with monsters, of which a giant Archaeopteryx was one of the planned monsters.
felt Kong: Skull Island bringing up this element was a nod to the fact Kong's Godzilla movie took place instead of a hollow earth monster movie.
