Origin
Born on the planet Ignos, Pyr was just a baby when his home planet was under attack. Knowing the battle was lost, his parents had to take drastic steps to ensure his survival, which sadly ended their lives but saved his. Landing in the farmlands of Kansas, he was found and adopted by Arthur and Linda Nashton, giving him the name Samson Nashton (Sam for short).
As he grew up, his Igneros abilities started to surface, such as when he was only 10, he accidently set an abandoned building on fire while trying to protect a friend from bullies. After the incident his parents put him aside and confessed the truth about him, which he initially didn't take well.
A few years went by and Sam was old enough to leave Kansas to go on a "self-discovery journey" to find out about his origins, while using his growing fire powers to help people in secret. Eventually, he found an abandoned Igneros scout ship, where he discovered his birth name and the reason for why he was sent here, to save him from a terrible evil, and to help prepare humanity for facing said evil. Donning an Igneros battle suit, he decided to use his abilities to protect humanity from the threats both beyond the stars, and on his new home, naming himself Pyrostar, taking elements from his birth name. But he had to do so in secret, as he figured that the government would see him as a threat.
Eventually, he had to publicly reveal himself when stopping an assassination attempt on the president during elections, and while it did earn him the respect of the president, he also became a target to the military and the Babyl Corp. sponsored superhero group: the Patriots. Of course, that won't stop him from being a hero to the world, even if he had to become a vigilante. He even took a job as a English teacher at the Leon College in New York, so that he is close to the action and can help guide the next generation.

So this is my first Factory of Heroes piece, and I think it turned out well.

So I'm thinking of starting a series of superheroes and villains called "The Paladins of Hope" (might change the name later), so Pyrostar here is the Superman equivalent to my super team, as you could probably guess from his origin story.

It may take some time with the next hero (or villain), so please tell me what you think so far in the comments below.
