I made this outfit a year ago and it was worn mostly by
I had to take it in a bit and remake the tassels and belts but it came out really nice. The ushanka is a nice touch.

How about this: have you heard about when the Soviets went into the Ukraine and basically just took their food to punish them, and in the year-long famine that resulted, up to 10 million innocent people died? Ukranians gather every year to light 25,000 candles in remembrance of the number of people that died per DAY during that year. It was called the "Holodomor," or the Hunger Plague. More people died in that one year and in that one country than were killed in the entire continent of Europe during the decade-long Holocaust, and yet revisionist history has all but erased it from our memory.
And have you ever heard the word gulag? The Soviet prison camps that started on the eve of the 1917 revolution and greatly expanded under Joseph Stalin? "According to a 1993 study of incomplete archival Soviet data, a total of 1,053,829 people died in the Gulag from 1934 to 1953."
The Soviet Union was a disaster. A monstrosity. And yet you find fan-groups on dA for it. Disgusting.

Actually, I hate Soviet Russia and Soviet Union and Joseph Stalin at all, BUT!
Give one after another. First, all of you have got used to consider that in Russia all inhabitants admirers of Soviet Union, but you are strongly mistaken. It was the most disgusting part of our history. In government there were people who to Russia had no relation. You know what Joseph Stalin comes from Georgia (its present Joseph Dzhugashvili)? And what Berija was the Jew? All our nation was exposed to oppression of FOREIGNERS. It is insulting and is sick because that you consider it as Russia. It was the nightmare. Mine the grandmother, the grandfather and the father told much about this time is really disgustingly. I consider as Russia that country which was before arrival of communists and till bloody Sunday (that was the biggest error of the tsar). And I consider as Russia that at us is now. All of us have forgotten this past, and we do not want to remember. And you press on us, forcing to consider yourself as disgusting people.

Well if I had known you were Russian I probably would have toned down my comment a bit, so sorry if I insulted you. I definitely don't think that all Russians are inherently evil just because Russia used to be the Soviet Union. And yes I did know that Stalin was from Georgia.
But anyway I think it's vital to remember these things so that no one makes the same mistakes. I'm sorry if you don't like it that I am disgusted by "Soviet Union" cosplay, but that's the way it is.
And the English is no biggy, you write in better English than half the people I see on this site, haha.
