Description
A desert-dwelling species of Pseudodragon, the Basilisk is interestingly most closely related to the Cockatrice.Basilisks are intelligent beings, but will not hesitate to eat other sapients, and the 30-foot reptiles are able to do so easily. However, they prefer talking to fighting, and often enjoy word games and riddles.
Basilisks are capable of using magic to turn their prey into sandstone statues
