Description
I know the spec challenge is over (sadly)I had the idea of the skull crawler being a monitor lizard that became adapted to living in water. It has webbed front feet, little paddles for back feet, a long tail with a paddle, a sleek and slender build, and the coloration to blend in and deter enemies.
However, despite coloration and appearance. This animal is not poisonous. Rather, it kills prey via construction, much like an anaconda . It hunts sea turtles and other marine reptiles, pterosaurs, birds, marine mammals, fish, octopi and other large invertebrates, and what ever else it can get its jaws and coils around. It hunts in shallow to mild-deep waters and when it is not hunting, it is resting and sunbathing on the coasts, much like a crocodile. When it is time to breed, the females produce chemical to attract males, and the first male to mount her is the winner .They breed in the water, and females lay there eggs in the sand (which the bury) a little further inland, where the dangers of land may await there arrival. The mother doesn't care for her young and abandons them to there fate. Once the young hatch, they dig themselves out of the ground and make a mad dash for the water. The few that do survive and make it to the water (think sea turtles) stay clear of the adults and hunt, and live, in coral reefs and in rocky habitats. As they grow, they move out of the reefs and spend more time on land.
They may be large and powerful, but they wouldn't be able to fight Kong because they live in different parts of skull island (unless kong went to the ocean). But that doesn't mean that there aren't OTHER animals on the island that could fight kong.............
