Explaining the background behind this image, there was originally a wolf-like robot planned for Vanquish but it was dropped from the game and evolved into the Blade Wolf character for the unrelated Metal Gear Rising. There is still concept art of the character. Elena is your backup in the game and also an engineering genius, in this alternate universe she created an armor for herself to sneak in as a robot.
