The Rug Revenant

In furniture and bath stores, in between the carpets hanging on display, you may come face to face with the eerie “rug revenant.” It’s body is composed of carpets of all kinds with patterns ranging from fancy and intricate to gaudy and kitsch.

These encounters are short lived though, as the shy creature will run back into the display, as if some unseen labyrinth is hidden behind the carpets.

Many people have theorized what they are exactly, theories ranging from them being the spirit of someone who died suffocating within a rug, or to it being the amalgamation of all the dust mites who have ever perished, turned into one peculiar entity the takes a familiar form to them.
