Maybe one of the parents had naturally blue optics before becoming Decepticons. Seeing what happened with the Constructicons, the red optics appear to come after being branded as a Decepticon. XD

Though some have naturally red optics too like Lockdown appears to have since he's not even a Decepticon.

Swindle's purple optics are likely that his brand isn't from the real branding because technically he's neutral.
