The composition of this shot is absolutely brilliant and draws the focus of the viewer directly to the expression on the model's face. The fact the subject is surrounded by complete darkness and there is a very strong contrast between light and dark pulls in your attention even more. Very well done.
The lighting is unique - this style of lighting is tried by many and not often successful. In this though it is not only successful but it definitely works to enhance the shot.
The expression on the model's face seems very playful and reminiscent of child like rock-star fantasies.
Playful, expressive, energetic, and very easy to relate to. Overall a great shot.
