I must say I absolutely love the landscape in this work and the eyes.
I am personally obsessed with eyes in art, especially when those eyes are attached to objects; it adds a certain feel and atmosphere to the drawing that makes everything seem (almost) alive.. Even the landscape.
I once said to some people who I talk to about my art and my processes and I said
"What if (EVERYTHING) had eyes and could watch you, even the ground.
What if the food which you eat had eyes and watched you. Every individual blade of grass outside and the ground it comes from has eyes, your furniture literally LITERALLY everything has eyes and watches you. Imagine that..."
And to me that is symbolism in a way, because if everything is watching you then there is absolutely no such thing as privacy..
Any shred of privacy you had left is gone..
And when people lose privacy they are no longer gonna be their true self anymore
(Most likely) and if that is the case.. Then that is a very disturbing reality.. What's worse is it already happens anyway.. But just imagine it on a much more intense level where everyone you see isn't even being their true self in their own home..
I don't think it is disturbing that objects and EVERYTHING has eyes.. It is disturbing what people turn into when that happens..
And now that I think of it
And not sure what you the artist think but my interpretation is like what I said
Privacy and kinda paranoia
The zippers and the doors serve as sheilds from all the thongs that watch
As the world begins to unravel due to paranoia
Until the only safe place is in those doors which also have eyes..
But that is just one of many interpretations
And one of many subjects I thought of when seeing this
It is a true work of art in my opinion
And I couldn't care less about what critics say..
Art sure yeah quality can be a big thing but I think there is SO MUCH more to it than that.
An art piece should never be shot down immediately due to slightly poor quality (not saying you're art is in any way poor quality)
But as I was saying
People should try thinking about this.
If it makes you think seriously about it.. Then it is art, hell I think if you draw a line on a piece of paper and I am able to think seriously about that lime or appreciate it in some way, then to me it is art, and I am a man who can think very deeply about a simple line.
I don't know about anyone who agrees with me
But I don't care all to much either. I have an open mind
And will listen to those opinions.. But chances are I will remain in my view but still keep the knowledge of a different view.

Your art is great.
It made me think deeply about many things.
I found meaning in it.

I really like the depth perception portrayed here. The view from the out-looker is really amazing. I love the usage of the hinges and zippers. To me it appears that the "world" is unzipping into anew for "all to see"

Β Holy Fuck! it looks like this dimention is coming apart at the seams and the cosmic eyeball people are either going thru or comming in! This reminds me a a film i really want to see
