so history summary
Silentsong many moons ago had murdered a cat from riverclan called FlowingStream, the issue? well, he didnt really remember it that way, upon several meetings in the dark forest and almost drowning in dark water his perception of reality was afected, he does know Flowingstream is dead, but he does not remember the circumstances of his murder, which gets even worse because Flowingstream was his best friend, well, only friend rather, (and also because Silentsong was so homosexual about him lmao), this is when Pineshade get's introduced. See, Silentsong's main motivation was to take Flowingstream to the moonpool to try and ressurect him, but when this goes wrong he finds a sketchy kind of help from Pineshade, the medicine cat progidy which is said to always be in contact with starclan, but Pineshade says the there's only one condition is he wants to ressurect him, he "needs to know the truth", in which Pineshade forces him upon the moonpool and Silentsong sees flashes of his entire life, of what truly happened.
Silentsong is mortified upon this revelation, because it shatters his entire perspective of the world he lives in, he's an unreliable narrator which tells himself to be some sort of tragic hero, his family never loved him because of his heritage, because his father was a ruthless murderer and he looks exactly like him, meanwhile his half sister always got praise and love, and the only person who ever got slightly close to him was Flowingstream who tragically died in unknown causes. But it seems things are not so black and white now are they?
While it's true that his moher was to traumatized to take good care of him (or truly his sister even) it wasn't even a matter of hating him (but ill get into her trauma and reasons later), his sister had always tried to get along with him, to which he responded horribly most of the time, and his only friend, Flowingstream, let's just say that Silentsong was horribly possesive of him. From Silentsong's perspective everyone always linked him to his father and hated him for it, and since Flowinstream was the only one not to do that he got obsessed with his validation (im not going to explain why he killed him here, i got lazy already maybe in another post)
So upon flashes of his life he histerically asks Pineshade "what- what was that?" to which Pinestar response is
"How could you forget?. All those moons ago you murdered Flowingstream and ran away"
Silentsong couldn't do more that stare at him in disbelief
"you were, and still are, a perverted murderer obsessed with his best friend"
"and do you wanna know why i know all of this?" he continued
"because i, for one, know everything about you"
"what-" Silentsong murmured softly, he was clawing so hard at the pebbles one of his claws started bleeding
"but now that you know the truth, do you really think you deserve any sort of redemption? because from where i see this, you are nothing but scum"
Silentsong stood there in profound silence
"now tell me, did you enjoy killing him? im sure you did- Im sure you enjoyed toring his throath, after all you were just repaying him for all the time he ignored you, weren't you?"
"no of course not!" pitifully hissed Silentsong
"I could never" tears were flowing on his eyes
"don't lie to me, i know that you aren't more than a murderer, after all, wasn't he right? you're just like your father"
"I AM NOT" shrieked Silentsong "im not i swear im not" each time his laments more pitiful
"well well, don't be so loud, your purpose here is to resurrect him, isn't it?"
"YEs- yes" his voice trembled "please-, nothing of this was his fault"
"well of course not, it was yours"
