Looking out the window you see you, along with the rest of the plane you were on, were suddenly pulled from your original altitude and size. It would seem you were the latest in a string of aircraft disappearances over the Guatemalan highlands that began in the last month. Lousy way to solve a mystery. Besides, it isn't really "solving" it if you can't tell anyone.

Flying through an indigenous village the plane had been flying high over only moments ago, you noticed a young Maya woman looking your direction with what you, in retrospect, see as an ominous smile. She said something you don't understand, probably in her native language, while she seemingly reflexively taps her earring with a finger. Then you noticed the other "disappeared" aircraft she had, and surmised what she just said was something about having a matching pair now. Suddenly it's obvious there were shrunken helicopters buzzing about her chest and shoulder, perhaps trying to figure out how to mount a rescue operation for the people on those airliners.

She took a step toward your plane, seemingly oblivious to or perhaps disinterested in the fact that the helicopters hovering in front of her couldn't react to the sudden movement. Two collided with her breasts, one becoming tangled in her shirt fabric and the other simply exploding on impact. She reached for the plane. You saw the view out your window filled with her palm, and briefly glanced at the windows on the starboard side to see her fingers close completely around the aircraft. The outside world went dark and you felt the plane being yanked right out of the air.

That was this morning. Now it's afternoon. You glance out the window, though all you ever see is her neck. You don't have much else to do, being afraid to leave your seat since the plane is now dangling vertically like her other earring. You glance up at the giant metal wire that she speared across the front of the cabin to hang the plane with. That wire looks sturdier than the plane itself. Whatever she's doing out there, you wish she wouldn't move her head so much while she did it. The motion sickness is probably the worst part.

What's going to happen? You hope she'll at least set down the planes horizontally whenever she takes her earrings off. It would be nice if the flight attendants could get the beverage cart through. Provided we haven't run out of snacks yet. It would be nice if some shrunken helicopters would come and rescue everyone during the night, though you're not quite sure what safety they could possibly take you to.

Does this woman not realize the planes she's wearing are full of people, or does she just not care?
