Anyone who's heard the old adage "A fish and a bird may fall in love, but where will they make their home" will get the gyst of this. It was an entry for the LJ Yaoi Community 's bi-weekly Homosketchuality contest. The theme this time was 'Blue', and yeah... so I got this. The merman's name is Gerafeld, and the birdman's (who is as of yet unseen) name is Monroe, for those of you who care about such small details. Yeah, yeah, it's m/m stuff, don't like it, TS.

5 hours, sketched with an F pencil, outlined with black Micron, coloured with Prismacolor pencils.

The water is terrible, and I know it. Also my blending and proportions could use some work, as well as the male anatomy. I'm really only quite fond of his face and ear, and the scales on his tail took me a good portion of 2 hours to do. I'm never doing scales again. Ever. -_-
