Description: The Reck's Elephant is a large extinct Elephant species that was native to the savannas of Africa, just like modern African Elephants, from the Pliocene to the Pleistocene Epoch. This is one of the largest Elephant species to ever live on Earth, 5 subspecies of Reck's Elephant have been discovered throughout Africa, studies show that these 5 subspecies were not separated by time, but they all had overlapping ranges across the continent. Some scientists thought these subspecies coexisted together well since they are closely related, but new studies show us that relationships between subspecies were more complicated than we once thought. Reck's Elephants were successful grass-eating Elephants during their time, but there is evidence to suggest that the Reck's Elephant had strong competition for food and territory with the genus Loxodonta, the modern African Elephants we know today. This competition would lead to the extinction of the Reck's Elephant at 1 million years B.C.E.

Personal Thoughts: I like how this Elephant looks in the game, though I had never heard about it until reviewing this mod. Although the modeling and textures are very realistic on this animal, it does have a major issue with it. This animal in the game does not drink water from the dish or any ponds placed down with the terrain tool. This single bug ruins this mod for me personally, it would be cool to have it and other extinct Elephants for a Cenozoic zoo. There is a note about a glitch where the body floats above the ground when it lays down and the back legs distort when it's resting, but I didn't see these when I reviewed it. Other than that, I do hope the major issue gets fixed soon.
