Description
Darkness, mourning, much is lostI've made a grave mistake
I shot for the gold, but at what cost?
It was a chance I had to take.
I learned the hard way, a lesson in life,
to stick to what I knew.
I tried to balance on the edge of a knife,
which ended up cutting me through.
I decided to change, to grow, to learn,
to grasp my destiny,
but it hurt, it singed, it killed, it burned,
it ended up crushing me.
So now I stand, with a hunger to sate,
at the crossroads of my time.
And now I try to work out my fate,
because my future's on the line.

that was a very well done poem. it flowed well and the words used to express the meaning were great.
