Ruby is a kind-hearted and energetic racer. Her greatest ambition is to be the best of the best. She tends tends to be impulsive and rash, which often leads her to trouble when her overconfidence gets the better of her. Ruby strives to live her life and do things the way she wants to, regardless of what others say or think. Because of her impulsive nature, Ruby can be reckless and quick to act before thinking, throwing herself into trouble without a second thought and regards for others' warnings. Nevertheless, she is honest and always keeps her promises. She also enjoys making jokes and puns in order to lighten the mood and provide some comedic relief.

Inner
Like her older half-brother Bruce, Ruby's personality undergoes a drastic change when her Inner form is awakened. Inner Ruby is cold, reserved, proud and highly aristocratic and arrogant. Inner normally punishes those who dare pick on her friends and depending on how they treated the normal Ruby, she'd even attempt to maim them. She is also quick to fly into a rage with little to no provocation. Inner Ruby's prideful nature is very apparent in how she deals with everything. She also possesses plenty of knowledge of the other vehicle types. Despite her cold nature, Inner Ruby does not truly wish to kill anyone and is very merciful in fights. This is why she curbs her power, to keep herself from killing people. She is also shown to have a lot of practical wisdom, as she teaches her defeated opponents that there are times where they don't come out on top, and to get back up after suffering defeat.
