Trolls are some of the dumbest and ugliest creatures that any adventurer would encounter on their quest to defeat the dark lord. Yet a lot of fantasy stories has these opposing lumbering morons on the road where the hero is crossing. Here's my take on my own design on them. After watching The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, I did my own drawing of a kind of troll of my design. The nose was the hardest. In Norse and Scandinavian myth, they're depicted as HUGE nosed long haired cavemen. I wanted a redesign of the nose while studying them on the net. Then I came up with the idea of the nose looking similar to an elephant seal. The nose came out perfectly. So, this is my troll of the road, or under the bridge, or cooking roast mutton or whatever. Still it'll turn to stone if caught in daylight. The turning into stone idea is something I like.
