Description
When the NeoEarth faction separated the Confederacy of the United Nations, they began a mobile suit development program parallel to that of the UNAF. The RX-1 is the metaphorical evil twin of the UNAF M-01. Unlike the M-01, however, the RX-1 is heavily armed with a torso embedded gatling cannon with a firing rate of 4000 rounds per minutes. While the RX-1 sports a more state-of-the-art power plant, the inefficient heat sinks (due to the placement of the gatling gun) forces the suit to remain slow and incapable of extended strenuous activity. The RX-1 is later converted into 3 different models, each fitted to perform specific roles. The RX-1a, shown above, lacks a aerial combat system and is used to push through ground fire and attack heavy fortifications, the standard NeoEarth Mobile Suit assault rifle for the RX-1a is also fitted with an underbarrel grenade launcher for such purpose.
