^Link to the Holly Lisle tutorial this image was made from. I followed the directions, and that's what came up.

I recommend:

Tracing Paper: For making different "layers" (yes, I draw on Photoshop too much) so you can see through them. I'll post some of my other layers. But it's so you can include ones with borders, ones with names, etc.
Pretty Pens: For making you feel good even when you aren't very good at writing.
Letting the Ideas Flow Don't worry about making them "the perfect ideas" until later. Just generate some "what ifs" and "maybes" until it feels right.

Other than that, it's really a solid tutorial. I highly recommend it for those of you stumbling around your noveling world.
