Wilted

Ridiculous wilted flowers
sit ridiculously in the vase
that I bought for you.

Not that you ever cared
I even picked out your favorite
color..blue but your so caught
up in you, I doubt you took notice.

I took the time to pick the roses
out and the baby’s breath It was amazing
gorgeous even , and you cast it aside
like you do everything else , that isn’t
deserving of your attention at that moment,
I should have bought you a cactus you prick.

Wilted days of love long gone,
left with the feeling of where
has my whole life gone, it’s not
fair but then it almost never is,
with no out let but to write this.

Wilted it maybe it was still love,
for me anyway and I don’t think that
will ever pass , after all there was
a time when we held hands.

So I will lie here , write here,
and pretend to die here
but I will move on, yes even this
wilted heart will move on.
