Description This is a story about an ordinary man. He had no redeeming characteristics and his greatest skill was to blend into the crowed. He did not seek the meaning of life, he did not fight in great wars and he made no great deeds, yet he still waged a war. As a little boy he had dreamt of cutting them down, mowing down oponents nad emerging victorious from the struggle. When the time came and he was old enough he acted manly and fulfilled his duty, but it started to drag on and soon the man was exhausted from the war. He got older and older, yet the crusade stayed with him, every morning he went and struggled against his opponents and although he won without much trouble he found the victory to be empty. He started to miss his youth, the simplicity of the life he had led then, but every morning he had to continue with his ritualistic crusade. One day the man died, he had been old and sick, it was the natural way to go. All men must serve and all men must die. That he did, yet his enemies returned and became plentyful when the man was laid to his grave to rest  a lush beared covered his face. It continued to grow even sometime after he laid six feet deep.
