The colors are vibrant and the subject is clearly defined. The juxtaposition of a girl seemingly on the edge of starting down the road to womanhood and the dragonflies (symbolising change in some cultures) is a subtle touch. This is a well thought out and well executed piece of art.
The fact that it is also beautiful helps.

Dragonflies are one of my favorite insects. They're one of the few that will just sit on your hand to visit and spend the time of day with you for a minute, and leave you just a little bit happier after they're gone. The girl is quite surreal, and totally entranced by them. Beautiful concept.
