The word anger was an understatement to describe how you were feeling right at the moment, a far better word would be absolutely furious. The reason was the person sat at the desk opposite you. He was the new guy, Levi was his name and you had the delight of being forced into socializing with him. Usually when a new person came to work at the office, one of the louder and more sociable employees would introduce themselves and show them around, but your boss Erwin has insisted -no practically shoved you- towards the raven haired male.

After a minute passed you had summed up the courage to say hello to Levi, telling him your name in a quiet voice. You were expecting a simple greeting back, but no. He scoffed at you and looked away, muttering his name to you in a rude manner. So yes, this man has indeed angered you deeply.

‘I’ve not done anything wrong to him, so there’s no need for him to be such a…’ Your thoughts trailed off as you stare at the man, practically glaring holes into the back of his head as you typed up on your computer. You would have glared for longer but the source of your glaring turned around and caught you attention, causing you to look down at the table, blushing and quietly huffing to yourself.

‘I don’t get his appeal… he looks like a squished pug’
The squished pug himself was staring at you with a poker face, but you didn’t notice this, pushing your glasses back up the bridge of your nose before paused the work you were doing and made your way to the coffee machine. After you got your selected drink, you came back to your desk only to find a neatly folded desk. Thankfully hadn’t drank any of your coffee because it would have been spat everywhere. No one had ever left you a note, they usually contacted you through email so it was a bit of a shock. Sitting down, you opened the paper and it read in scribbly writing:
Meet me at Café X tonight at 8. I’ll buy drinks.
You had to read the note at least 3 times before it sunk in. Someone had asked you out on a date and whoever it was didn’t give away their identity, so you had no idea how to react. Normally this kind of stuff didn’t happen to you as your shyness prevented you from approaching anyone that you were interested in, and they didn’t realize how you felt about them either. But instead of worrying or panicking about the note, you just shrugged and put the note in your pocket, debating whether to go or not.

~~~~~ A few hours later ~~~~~

They were late, and by late you mean not arriving the minute you set foot in the café. It didn’t help that you had arrived ten minutes early and was starting to get a little impatient, so to entertain yourself you scrolled through your phone on a website you use daily, sighing to youreself.
‘What if it’s a prank, or I end up bring stood up?’

Various scenarios played out in your head, of the worst things that could happen, and it got worse until a voice spoke up and smashed your thoughts into oblivion. When you looked at the source of the voice, your eyes widened.

“You’re rather early brat” it was him. The ‘squished pug’ looking at you with his usually resting stank face.

“What? Is there something on my face?” You just stared at him, unable to speak or even function properly. It took a good while before you could even open your mouth.

“W-Why…..are y-you here?” He raised an eyebrow, and you swore he smirked in slight amusement before he ‘tched’ and replied with;

“Because I sent the note, idiot. You really are dense, so I’ll make it clearer for you. I’m interested in you.” and then that was when you got to know the man that was Levi Ackerman.
