As did I, unfortunately I then read ASM 8 and suddenly lost all interest in Spider-Girl's appearance in this event. And the event in general, frankly. Which is a shame, since this cover is indeed absolutely amazing.

Read that too, what turned you off? Having Spider-girl drop her morals and want to kill the dude? It makes enough sense to me although I'm more likely to read into the comic in the shop before buying. I haven't been buying the issues since I think Dan Slott did some really bad job starting a bit before superior spider-man. Still I really like Spider-man and have friends to read the stuff from and my shop doesn't mind me sitting and reading since I buy a ton of comics.

Yeah, pretty much. That and you know, killing off the most significant chunk of her supporting cast at the same time. I mean it was never going to be terribly likely that Marvel spun off a new series from Spider-Verse like Gwen Stacy, Spider-Woman, but this pretty much drives a nail into that coffin. Unless they pull some trite retcon out of their behind, this is how the Spider-Girl story ends. Since this was how I got into comics, I am just a teensy bit bitter.

I bet when they kill these guys there universes go back to normal for the most part. Spider-gwen just gets stuck in the 616 or falls in love with 616 peter and chooses to stay.
