Nice work...
I haven't dug much into the design of the subaru, but I am mostly under the hood of older models I have a respect for subaru in the performance of their engines

the tf 86 was always a partnership between the two companies. i belive subaru worked on the engine while toyota did pretty much everything else. but suby is probably doing their own, more performance oriented, version with turbos and possibly AWD although many ppl think that is impossible or very expensive due to the design and layout of the vehicle (engine is mounted very low and further back, and the bay is already very cramped)

Wait, so the FT-86 is from Toyota and Subaru? I thought it was purely Toyota, it was partnership? Or is Subaru using the FT-86 as a base for their own version? I'm confused, could someone explain?

fT-86 is a joint project between Toyota and Subaru
Subaru had developed the engine (a 4-cylinder boxer engine) and drive train while Toyota has modified it and built the body
as far as I know
the FT-86 will be sold in North America as the Scion FR-S and the rest of the world it will be sold as a toyota (some speculate that it will regain the 'celica' nameplate)
Neither coupes have shown an offical production vehicle although the test mule seen arounf the Nurgburgring is speculated to be the Subaru version while Toyota themselves have stated that the FT-86/FR-S will look similar to the FT-86 II concept
both production vehicles will be revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show on December 3rd-11th
and both are expected to go on sale (in the US) in Spring/Summer 2012
I hope that's good enough for you

Sick rendering I'd say, minor things on the chopping (grille alignment) but a really grat though on what it should look like, can't wait for the reveal of the real thing
