That game I was working on a while back, Timid Cervid, involved playing as Acorn Nose - the deer girl I modelled the other day - who had to train a dragon thing while ENDURING social encounters along the way!! Those social encounters functioned like battles in any other RPG, except instead of flinging around fire and ice and so forth, skills had emotions; either Friendly, Happy, Flirty, Angry, Scary or Misery. It's an idea I was also using in another game called Clarence RPG, and which gradually evolved into the sentiments concept used in the Alora Fane world.
There were meant to be six species of dragon in Timid Cervid, each one representing one of those six emotions. This would be the Friendly-emotion one (Friendly was green). Since the emotions were represented by coloured heart symbols, I felt the need to use that symbol as a motif in this design.
It has a wing case sort of like a beetle (shaped like a heart from the top), which opens to reveal six translucent insect-like wings!
The point of these quick and sloppy concept sketches was so then I can make a model from this, which I intend to try to do soon!

Super cute! I also like the idea behind the Timid Cervid game. It's interesting to think of these kinds of struggles, that people go through in daily life, as a video game. Plus, it works well for you. ^_^

I love this design! I hope you plan to reveal the other dragon designs and the emotions they represent, it really sounds like a neat idea, and I'd be interested to see how you portray each one as a lil dragon! The insect wings are just brilliant, it reminds me a little of the Pokemon flygon (no idea why its a dragon/ground type and not a dragon/bug type) and the poses are adorable. Great stuff!
