Well, when Optimus Prime was created, it was around 9 million years ago. He fought the Deceps with who-knows-how-many Autobots for 5 million years first, then he brought that loveable G1 bunch we all know to Earth, where they crashed into the side of the mountain and remained inactive for 4 million years until reactivated in 1984.
Was Prowl created after Optimus during those 9 million years to battle the Deceps? Or was Prowl originally a slave robot of the Quintessons since the beginning (12 million years ago) and received some type of or multiple reformats thereafter? Up to you fan-writers, I guess 
In the techspecs, Irohhide is the "oldest, toughest, most battle-tested Autobot." Hmm, is Kup older or no?
