Description Okay, so I haven't really touched on Fiyeraba in any form of media in a while, and I recently went to my first concert, it was Adam Lambert, who played Fiyero briefly in San Diego before he went on Idol and got famous and is also the reason that I went from picturing Fiyero with brown eyes to picturing him with blue, and one of the songs Adam did at the concert was Outlaws of  Love, and when he hit the second verse, the lights changed from blues and purples and greens to red and yellow and he started doing it in a reggae style that kind of made me think of Jamaican music a little bit, but anyway...

Since Outlaws of Love has always struck me as being a pretty good fit for what Elphaba and Fiyero probably go through after they leave Oz at the end of the musical and I actually tried to write a one-shot song fic set to it once that I just sort of lost interest in and abandoned, I figured I'd try again to make something for it, only this time go visual, so I turned to www.rinmarugames.com/game/?gam… to help me with that, and I'm actually fairly happy with how it turned out.

I like that Rin has stuff in the game that let me give them both a really tired, worn out, sort of hopeless look to the eyes and give them cuts and things and then bandages that I can put over them in certain places (like their arms, for example) and make Fiyero scruffy and his hair kind of long, and I also really love that because of the way the hands are positioned, you can have the characters "hold hands" if you want by clicking and dragging, which is just absolutely perfect for this particular piece, you know?

I had Fiyero's scarecrow outfit in mind while I was doing him, I thought it would be neat if I could maybe manage to make it look like Elphaba had changed him back and he's still wearing the remains of his Gale Force uniform. And I don't normally imagine him with such...I suppose the best word would be gaunt cheeks, but I figured, you know, hey, they've been on the run hiding out in forests and stuff, it makes sense for them to lose a little weight in that situation, so I was like, eh, sure, what the heck, and I did it. Also, I have a headcanon that since he comes from what in the book are specifically stated to be a plainspeople who hunt and kill creatures that live in the grasslands of the Vinkus, Fiyero's not too shabby with a bow and arrows, so I gave him that as well as a (short?)sword and the rope that I'm not sure if you can see hanging from his other hip because I colored it so darkly, lol. The arrowhead he's got around his neck is supposed to be like a flint or something that they can use to light fires, which actually doesn't make much sense now that I think about it seeing how I've got Elphaba lighting their way with magic fire. :/

Blame the Plot Bunnehz and their Holz uv Doom, I guess? And same thing for where Elphaba's clothes came from and Fiyero's weapons and the rope?

As for where his missing sleeve is, I decided while I was making this that maybe it got snagged on a branch or something and tore off and they shoved it into their bag or whatever it is they've got to carry food and stuff in so they could turn it into makeshift bandages later if they need to, idk. Again, blame the Bunnehz, not me.

(PS: Yes, the title of this is, in fact, taken from the song. The chorus, to be specific; "Everywhere we go/we're lookin' for the sun/Nowhere left to go/we're always on the run/They say we'll rot in hell/well I don't think we will/They've branded us enough/outlaws of love")
