Description
What I thought I would do was,I would become one of the oppressed.
Just to see how they would feel towards me,
When I reveal my true self.
Respect instantly changes into ridicule.
Valor commended, condemned by their vigilance.
Fear overtaking all that they fancy.
Happiness reverts back into a sum of pure hatred.
All of this, because they don't see who I want to be.
Only because I don't wish to follow suit.
All this nonsense, because it is the 'best option'.
It's the ONLY option. The norm masks what you consider to be a lie.
But I know things that you don't. Things you wish you knew.
Since you never will ask, I take the last laugh and all my secrets with me.

lol, great ending, about the last laugh and secrets.
the laughing man/aoi always had a sort of tragic feeling to me - i think because he truly believed in the possibility of goodness and the redemptive power of truth, which is kind of child-like and doomed to failure. and he couldn't stop believing in it even at the end when he was all bitter and forced to become 'the vanishing mediator.'
anyway, great piece of writing
