Description

A thousand years ago, the goddess of creation was broken into shards, leaving the world in disarray. These shards manifested as magnificent beings, meant to protect and maintain balance. These beings were known as nature guardians. The guardians were seen and revered to as gods.

Energy still scattered across the world from the original deities' departure. The guardians decided to collect this energy in crystals where new life could be formed. A new being would hatch from these crystals known as aerial. They would help the guardians in maintaining balance over the world. Each aerial held a small portion of the creation deities power, each holding their own unique abilities.

However, there was a case where one aerial was born without magic. She envied the others and attempted to toy with power that was better left alone. This newly discovered black magic created a vortex that made the world crumble in on itself. In an attempt to stop it, the guardians were sucked in, leaving the world in complete chaos.

With the world slowly dying, the aerials created a safe haven for themselves in the sky and retreated there. From then on, aerial born without magic were referred to as cursed and banished from their cloud home.

This cloud island grew into a prospering kingdom known as Archandelle where aerials can live free from the troubles that stir below. Heavy winds surrounding the kingdom make it impossible to enter. Those who try are swept away, and those who exit find it impossible to return.

Expect this species to be built and expanded upon. I have lots of ideas for them, but decided to start with the basics. Some of my older watchers might remember them from an older concept alongside other species. I've decided to put a hold on the others and give these guys a revamp.

If this species draws enough interest, I will make a group for them.
