Generally agreed upon is the fact that birds, unlike other creatures, are sentinels, watchers, observing in the far-reaching outposts of reality, watching over what the land-bound can never touch from remote outlooks.

Not agreed, however, is whether they observe the distant realms in service of reality, or whether they are coldly gazing from the distant horizons of their harsh realm upon a world that may resist their homeland's conquest, turning back only in anticipation and memory of their home.
