"The Pinnacles" is an inhospitable region located on an arid alien planet, with its unique gigantic columns of a granitelike rock in crystalline form. These megastructures were formed aeons ago, when an ancient ocean covered most of the planet´s surface. A ranger is patrolling the region in a Wasp, a small monoplace ship designed for reconnaissance and research.
