Description
I don't usually work in Black and White as a general rule (though I love to LOOK at black and white photography), but this looked an awful lot better without color.
I don't have a back story for this...I wonder what happened...

Thank you for the critique, I appreciate it. I'll take into account the negative space, I was photographing my own foot, so it was somewhat of an issue that I've already realized, just have never revisited it

hello, i'm a critic from the critique-me club. i saw your photo and thought i'd critique it. (:
i honestly quite like this. the composition is fantastic and it was a good call to make it black and white. the high-heels are interesting as well as pretty, which makes them add to the picture, but they don't distract you from the blood. i love the contrast of this whole photo, and the title fits it well. the only thing is that the quality leaves just a little to be desired. it just doesn't present all the little details that make it pop and really drag you in.
but that's probably just because you don't have a ridiculously fancy camera or can't hold the camera quite still (like me! xD). but really, good work.
oh, and whoever drew that design is seriously talented!

I drew the design, boredom does strange things
The quality is somewhat off because it's seriously hard to bend over and hold it with one hand and angle it onto your feet! I have noticed that it isn't as clear as some of my other work. I have a nice camera, but I don't know, something about one handed shaky shots, I just can't get them right 
Your critique is very much appreciated, it was thoughtful and refreshing to see. THANK YOU. I will try to make the quality better if I ever revisit the idea

but yeah, i can imagine how hard it must be to make the camera stay still when you're bending all awkwardly. xD

Critique doesn't have to have actual critique, in my opinion - you can just point out what the artist has done RIGHT, and I think it still counts. I do appreciate you trying to find something wrong with it though - I cannot learn without that kind of support!

ugh, graininess is the bane of my existance as a photographer!
I took some live shots of a band about a month ago...I still haven't put them up because there is grain galore :-\
And the stuff you have up is pretty sharp

You could try running it through a blur effect to take away some of the grain?

I have already. A friend of mine showed me an alternate way of reducing grain, so I'll try that next
