My original plan was to put John in one of my "Non Canon Characters That Exist In Ionverse" lists until I found out that he's already in the main DC canon. After doing some research into the comics' version, I decided to use the Arrowverse's depiction due to my own personal preferences. Although, unlike what is hinted at in the Arrowverse, Diggle doesn't have any connection to the Green Lanterns or John Stewart.
