I figure in my human AU, Hornet woulda prolly gotten teased as a kid for the white bits in her hair, other kids referring to them as skunk stripes and maybe joking that she looked like she was gonna go from 8 to 80 or something. Sometimes bullying, even if it's not super-serious, just gets to you and you do something silly like smear paint all over your hair! Also she might want to make them match the rest of her hair for more personal familial reasons! Thankfully it's the tempera kiddy stuff that's a bit easier to clean off than, say, acrylics and oils. In all likelihood Herrah (who's deffo alive in this AU shoosh) would probably let her get some proper, albeit temporary, hair dye if it bothers her so badly. Though when she's older she'll have a reason for wanting to keep her white locks as is, namely the sibs :3

Also I changed how human!Hornet's eyes look for Reasons. I originally had her have black sclera as her dad's side of the family were all going to have full black eyes, then I realized that a human version of the Pale King would probably have very light eyes and also I'd changed the reasoning for the vessels' human counterparts still having black eyes for unrelated reasons, so I figured I should change Hornet's eyes as well. She's got her mom's eyes!
