Description

Name
Toxin

Pronouns
Any
(I mostly use She/They/It for them though)

Age:
Older Teen (~18)

Species:
Hisuian Sneasel + Floragato

Type:
Grass/Poison

Rank:
Bronze

Personality:
Toxin is not a very friendly or outgoing Pokémon, rather used to being on their own and having to rely on their own stealth and strength alone to get out of tricky situations. They often appear quite dismissive of others, usually under-estimating or not trusting in other Pokémon's abilities. They do crave company to some extent, but get fed up easily with loud or overly friendly Pokémon, preferring to just sit with those they like or discuss very matter-of-fact things.
They tend to see themselves purely as someone who is trying to survive, and would not admit that they have a moral compass, however stilted it might be. They will usually choose to help those in need or be kind, though they will act upset about it. They also try to help others who are confused, though perhaps they shouldn't, as their patience somewhat leaves to be desired.
Overall, they tend to come across as a bit of a stickler and a loner, but they aren't completely immune to enjoying others' company.
Introverted, Condescending, Impatient, but also Kind, Caring, Clever and Skilled.

Bio:
Toxin was born out in the wild to their Meowscarada father, Fernan, alongside two siblings.
They knew very little of the father who had given them their Poison types and odd appearances, the subject seeming quite sore with their father.
The first few beats of their life went by rather normally, for a wild Pokémon. Their father would provide for them, and soon enough they would learn to forage and survive; so they one day could be independent...

However, when Toxin was a young teen, a ghost from their father's past came to haunt the family...
As it turned out, the other father the siblings knew so little about, had been the project of a nearby lab. He was a Sneasler, a long-extinct species. He had had escaped briefly from the coils of his trainers and fallen in love with Fernan, leaving him with eggs, before disappearing one day, never to be seen again...
But those scientists, or rather, the trainer they hired, had eventually caught wind of their Sneasler's escapade, and decided they needed to retrieve the young Hisuian Sneasels, before they 'ruin the ecosystem'.
Every last one of them was to be caught.
The little family wasn't hard for the trainers to locate. They were mostly stationary, and the trainers' Houndooms and Mabosstiffs made quick work of finding them. Suddenly, their peaceful life was no more. The first of Toxin's siblings was caught by surprise, a lucky shot, practically only a rustle in the leaves indicated his disappearance. The next one, put down by an Absol's False-Swipe, then caught as well.
And then their father was helpless, paralyzed by Static, stuck looking at Toxin, who, too, was caught up in a fight. But she knew better than to try to be brave, or to stick around.
She ran away as fast as she could. As far as she could.
What if they catch my father? She thought for a second, before deciding that if she had mattered that much to him, he would have told her the truth about his old flame.
He had not. She would not look back.

Months of surviving on their own had unwittingly brought Toxin back to the place they were raised in. The same clearing, next to the same laboratory. All the Pokémon were different, though; none of them recognizing her.
Toxin had evolved, which probably didn't help, either. Regardless, they were only here to scavenge, so they didn't care all that much. One day, Toxin is awoken by a stampede. They search for the sound, and soon realize what is happening. The nearby lab's gates were wide open, lights off inside, the screaming of trainers. More noticeably, dozens upon dozens of Pokémon were pouring, leaping, barreling out of the doors; as if they were running for their lives. Most of them were big and imposing, or at the very least seemed strong. Among them, though, was a tiny, pathetic little creature, which struggled to run with them, lest it get trampled by the much bigger Pokémon running with it. Feeling a pang of good will for once, Toxin swooped in to grab the Pokémon and pull it out of the stampede and into the shrubbery. Would he have any survival skills? Likely not.
He was going to figure it out on his own.
Right?

The Pokémon's name was Kip apparently, and it would not stop following Toxin around. Not for anything. If Toxin climbed up a tree to sleep, it would sit at the bottom of it and stare sadly upwards. Toxin couldn't stand it, but the more the Pokémon followed them around, the more they realized it would probably not last a day by itself in the wilds. And, at least per her own beliefs, any Pokémon would rather be dead than in a Pokéball... So why would she bring him to a pack of trainers? And risk her own hide, too?
One day she overheard someone speaking of a branch of Team Rocket which was all Pokémon. She did not, in fact, know what any of that meant. But the implication was, in her reading of the situation, that the "Rocket Hideout" was a group where all Pokémon helped each other, even if they were thieves, criminals. Why would she judge them? She'd stolen things, too.
She thought it might be nice to be part of a collective, and even if she didn't join, she could lug them Kip, too...

When she found the Hideout, she decided to join, too. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to have a, well...
"Family",
again.
