Keepiru smiled before passing out as he was discovered by Hikahi in the skiff.

While returning to the Streaker hiding site, Hikahi picked up dolphin's sonar clicks. She initially thought these were from surviving dolphins fleeing the Galactics. But she was shocked to find that the sonar pings were from dolphins engaged in a ritual duel.

Desperate to find out the situation, Hikahi sent out a sonar message to get the attention of dolphin combattants. By then, Keepiru had dispatched K'tha-Jon and was limping towards the Trojan Seahorse site.

Then Hikahi would hear about the mutiny on Streaker from Keepiru, and would rush to Streaker to take command of the situation, without the knowledge that Streaker had already left for the Seahorse site.
