while i was in chicago in 2002, i took this photograph. this was pretty much my first attempt at artistic photography, so please excuse its lack of...everything.

looking out the bay window of the burnam hotel on chicago's busiest street, michigan avenue, i watched (for hours) the traffic, hurried people on cell phones, and over-the-top street performers. then i turned to the right, and outside my fifth floor window was a dragonfly just calmy sitting on the ledge. it reminded me that even within the disorder of the city, and life in general, there is always beauty and comfort.

i'm new to this crap. tell me what i should have said instead of this.)
