this is about the contrast between the textures, structures, etc.organic versus industrial.
nature versus man-made.
i think it may have a significant symbolism between god & nature. you know? interpret it.
also, i made it in high school. it is a 3D photo. i took two prints of the same photo, and cut the tree out of one. then, i adhered it to a piece of foamcore. then, i placed the foamcored tree on top of the 2D tree on the uncut photo. it scanned pretty weird, but enjoy.
this was taken in san francisco, california...in 2004.

i like the idea of the 3d in the photo. i've done two shots of churches now with cut, dead trees infront of them, it's seems to work as a very strong contrast. also makes the churches seem quite morbid. anyways good job, definatly like the extra texture in the photo.
