Name: (Prince) Koren of Helios
Parents: Celestia and Scorpan

Species: Pony / Gargoyle hybrid.
Satyr in appearance with wings, but with ape like body language and posture. (I'm just assuming Scorpan is a Gargoyle. What he is is never explicitly stated anywhere)

Nickname: Igor (by friends) My Little Wise One (By Celestia because his fur makes it look like he has an old man beard)
Parents: Celestia and Scorpan
Occupation: Librarian in Canterlot’s royal library. Aspires to become a professor in Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns/(individuals)
Personality: Personality wise he is a bit of an introvert but very curious. Due to his mother’s influence, Koren manages to not be a recluse, and would rather help and serve others. It's just that he prefers to observe ponies and how they live and react to situations than to take front and center himself in public settings. In more isolated situations on the other hand Koren loves to be helpful, almost creepily helpful to the point that some of his friends call him Igor whenever they are in the midst of causing mischief. Koren doesn't mind, he thinks it's fun. He loves reading and experimenting, most of his efforts are in the pursuit of knowledge. Like Twilight, he easily tangents about topics he finds interesting.
Koren does not learn about Tirek until he is older. The circumstances around his uncle’s imprisonment fills him with a great sadness. That Tirek’s ambition to find a better land for his people turned into a lust for power.
Quick Bread Origin Story: Koren is the very very very late results of a romance that’s lasted well over 1000 years. It all started when Tirek and Scorpan traveled to Equestria for the first time, expecting to see nothing but stupid primitive tribes fighting each other in a land rich with life and magic. To Scorpan's surprise it was anything but. The ponies were sapient and lived their own complex lives. He meets Starswirl the Bearded who teaches him about pony history and that while all of the ponies were separated by their kind, he hoped that one day these silly divisions would end and that all ponies could work together for the betterment of the whole. Scorpan understood this, since his home is barely anything but a barren wasteland, the union of his father and mother brought gargoyles and centaurs together, which stopped a war, and made life easier on everybody. But Tirek didn’t care to hear any of it, and continued to believe that the ponies were too silly and shallow minded to utilize their magic to it’s full potential, and that everyone back home deserved this land more than the ponies did. Long story short, Scorpan finds himself confronting the royal sisters and is the catalyst of Tirek’s defeat.
But Scorpan doesn’t get off scot free. Feeling guilty about their attempt to forcefully take Equestria, Scorpan goes into Tartarus to try and talk sense into his brother a second time. Tirek rebuffs him furiously, calling him weak and volleying endless threats of what he will do when he escapes. Scorpan doesn’t give up and remains in Tartarus, until he one day, filled with despair, takes the job of warden over Tartarus to make sure his brother never escapes.
During that time, he had formed a friendship with the sisters, and they became his most regular contact with the outside world. But even in Tartarus, Scorpan feels the world shake as Celestia and Nightmare Moon have their battle. It leaves Celestia heart broken and almost totally hopeless, to know that she was the reason Luna became Nightmare Moon, because she wasn’t a strong enough sister, as Scorpan believed he wasn’t a strong enough brother. Scorpan was with Celestia in her lowest moments, his friendship giving her the strength to keep Equestria in one piece during its darkest hour.

Their relationship remained immensely private until recently...because lol pregnancy. And because in my headcanon, at the start of it, Celestia being open about Scorpan might have caused an uproar. But times have changed, Celestia is a much more confident ruler, her ponies are united and accepting, and she's had a couple of interesting trial runs in the nurturing of children via her students. So now is as good a time as any!

He will groom you so just be ready for that
Don't feel embarassed if he actually finds something
His diet mostly consists of fruits, vegetables, and what he finds in your mane
He likes to pretend he is Batman (Or whatever MLP's equivalent of him is)
As he ages he develops pyromancy skills.
Grooming is one of the basic ways gargoyles relieve stress, so Koren is kind of upset that not many folks around him have fingers. But magic grooming works fine too.
His name is just Koren. The "Of Helios" title is a formal title outsiders gave him. Basically Koren of the Sun
