Description

Two kinda out of nowhere Ratchet and Clank ocs. The lombax on the left I thought up recently with the help of a friend and the monkey cyborg on the right is an oooold oc I visualized around the time Up Your Arsenal came out but I had never drawn her before.
The Lombax is named Therma and the cyborg is named Dot. For the past few days me and my friend have been on a weird nostalgia trip about Ratchet and Clank and this is what came out.

Sooo~ Anyway Therma is the result of some 'what if' 'fan-ficcy' scenario of Ratchet and Clank/Portal crossover. Portal's mean-spirited humor being inflicted on fuzzy cartoon characters might work oddly well together. Imagine Ratchet talking shit back to the “murder for science” robot inevitably making his situation worse. Therma would eventually become a GLaDOS type figure with Ratchet and Clank having to survive her traps and figure out the mystery of her existence. We ended up making the Lombax race a lot more neutral than heroic. Maybe even evil if you look at them a certain way. Their intellect and genius engineering made them perfect for creating weapons. Like the PMC out of Metal Gear, exploiting the War Economy of the Polaris Galaxy.

Dot Grimoire is a lot simpler. A mercenary/gun smuggler type character from a mafia style family. They're nearest competition being gangs like Thugz-4-Less. At some point she got infected by an incurable space fungus that will eventually turn you into a zombie unless you replace the infected parts of your body with robotics. (The only other option being to preserve your brain in a jar). Turns out there is a secret Lombax Research Facility floating around on an asteroid somewhere that might have the cure. Time to go kidnap some space heroes!
And yeah, I made this character back in 2004. She was going to be...like every other RnC OC I have ever seen, a girlfriend for Ratchet. I am not innocent of this. I was inspired a bit by Agent 9 from Spyro, it's the reason she's a monkey.
