I've always enjoyed more abstract looks at Batman. I wish DC would consider at least a one-shot that experiments a bit. Here's hoping if they do that they choose you to pencil and ink!

"Batman Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth" is probably the closest you're going to get to that.

I know, right? I read it when Arkham Asylum came out for the 360. I wasn't the biggest comic book reader back then but the game got me interested. I was surprised to see the graphic novel was published in 1989. I never expected a mainstream title to have something like that published back then.

Yeah same here. Little did I know that after finishing the game I would be sitting here with the five best batman stories ever written next to me.

Dang! This is really interesting. This kind of art should be on the cover of an issue, perhaps one with a more trippy focus or villain, but it would definately draw eyes more than some of what DCs been putting out lately. Batman is one of the most awesome series out there today, but got are his covers boring.
