Description
The first time Ura got to utilize the Performance of Creation feature from the College of Creation Bard subclass was everything I could have hoped for. The party needed badges to be allowed free access to the Upper City of Baldur's Gate (or risk being locked up and fined if they were found up there after hours). They had a source, and she had badges for each of them and their commanding officer. Supposedly. The badge Ura checked seemed legit, so hopefully all of the others were.
Moving on from the badges and looking for extra information, Ura asked if there was anything they could get for the informant, Tarina, in exchange. Something she really wanted - no magical items though! That would be a bit out of her range. Thinking on it, the Tarina decided if they could get their hands on a prosthetic arm, a replacement to her own missing limb, she could help them out. Ura ducked below the table, pretending to rifle through her bag - just a normal backpack at the time - as if she was looking for something. Finally, she hopped back up, a grin beaming across her face as she held out to Tarina one wooden arm. Nothing fancy, but functional. Tarina reached for the arm and Ura pulled out back briefly, urging her that every badge they had been supplied with better have been legit.
Of course they weren't. She'd been sure to give Ura the only real badge and handed out pretty good replicas to the others. Wanting the arm though, she swapped out the fakes for real badges before the arm was handed over and they proceeded to talk about the requested information.
Conveniently, Ura did not tell Tarina that the arm would be disappearing in two hours - the limitation of her ability to create items. What's a small little scam between acquaintances? Besides, at least she'd get to enjoy having another hand again for a bit! Not to mention she tried to scam them too.
She's not sorry.
