Everyone thought it would be fine to fall asleep. The dragon had fallen, the stars shimmered in the sky, they were all worn out enough to nearly pass out on the spot. All except for the druid. While a bit tired from patching up the others, she hasn't quite written herself out and decided to stay up a little longer to watch over the others, ensuring they slept well. The fact a Palkia had been rampaging through towns had also been heavily weighing on her mind. Most legendary Pokemon sought to bring balance to the world in various forms. Sure, sometimes they had…. Pretty bad disagreements with their opposing legendary, but the majority of them could at least be reasoned with. Palkia wouldn't even say a single word to them.

As the Leafeon watched the night sky, pondering what had led to this, a noise eventually caught her attention. The twitch of an ear focused on the noise, drawing her attention toward the fallen Palkia. It was getting up! Her heart began racing, terrified that it might attack her companions. Should she quickly wake them?

"Don't bother." A few feet from her a single bright red eye peered at her from beneath the Espeon's hood, seeming to barely wake. Her words came out in barely above a whisper so as not to wake the others.

"It's not going to attack. Not yet at least," she grumbled out before her head tilted back down, eye closing again.

"A-are you sure?" The Leafeon asked, though no response came. Surely the necromancer hadn't fallen back asleep that quickly. She must have been ignoring her. Without any further comforting words she considered waking up all of the others, though ultimately she settled for watching a bit longer.

It seemed the Palkia was going back in the den. But what if it was just resting up to attack everyone again? She sat for several minutes in silence agonizing over what to do before the gruff voice of the Espeon called out again.

"Just go follow it and see… I can't get to sleep with all the energy bouncing around you."

"But!"

"If you're worried so much have the others come with you or something. I'm sure they're eager to give chase."

After some further chatter between the two of them eventually the entire group had been woken up; some by the whispers, others with a soft prod.

"Why didn't you wake us sooner?!" The dragoon exclaimed after the situation was explained, quickly scooping up the lance into his mouth.

"I-" she wasn't able to get more than a single word in before the knight chimed in next.

"It could have roasted everyone in our sleep! It may be weakened, but it's still a Palkia!"

They all began to talk over one another until Reprinn slammed his blade against the rock he'd been resting against. "Everyone calm down," he started as the silence took over. "It could have attacked us, yeah. I'm not exactly comfortable with the fact I wasn't woken up either, but at least let her explain what's going on."

"I told her not to bother initially," the Espeon spoke up, eager to get them all to leave so she could go back to sleep. Her words were quickly met with anger from the Eevee, Flareon, and Sylveon, though they didn't seem to phase her. "I would have sensed if it was going to attack us. It wasn't, so I was going to let you all sleep. If you're eager to go be murderers though, by all means, go forth and chase it down now that it's trapped itself in its den. I'll be out here sleeping."

As the Espeon curled back up to go back to sleep, the other five pokemon continued the conversation a bit more calmly now. The Leafeon was interested in going to see if the Palkia had calmed down and would be willing to talk now, but she was afraid of going in alone just in case it did turn on her again. Naturally the Eevee and Sylveon were both eager to go in after the dragon, though Reprinn was quick to ensure they would not attack it unwarranted. They would only fight if it attacked first. Not one to let others wander into danger, the Flareon also agreed to come along in case they were attacked.

Once they were all eventually in agreement, everyone began to make their way into the cave with Reprinn taking the lead and setting a slow pace so as to not alert the dragon to their presence. What they would find deep within the cave came as a shock; little ones. Two of them! One of which wasn't looking so great. Scattered about the den were various berries and other items likely taken from the villages the Palkia had attacked.

"Looks like it was in a panic to take care of its child," Reprinn whispered as he looked back at the others. His eyes drew to the druid before he continued, "do you think you can help it out? I doubt we're going to be welcome company here, so the rest of us will have to run distraction."

She gave a quick nod with a smile. "I'd certainly like to try at least. I've never healed a Palkia before, but I'll do my best!"

Her words came out perhaps a bit too eagerly - too loudly. They were quickly followed up by a rumbling growl resonating from deeper in the cave, just behind the young ones where the injured Palkia was resting.

There rest of the night was filled with struggles as Reprinn, the dragoon, and the knight kept the adult Palkia away without further injury and the Eevee kept the healthy young Palkia out of the way. Eventually, after many herbs and several hours, the druid was able to get the sick child's fever to break, after which they were all begrudgingly allowed to spend the rest of the evening resting in the caverns - all while the necromancer continued her nap outside.
