Yay. Just keep repeating the neocon propaganda. Obama is a commie, Obama is a socialist, Obama is Hitler, Obama stole my juicebox. Whaaa!

President Obama taught constitutional law at Chicago Law School for twelve years from 1992 to 2004.
I think he knows more about the constitution than you could ever learn from the rantings of Glenn Beck.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

hydromorphone In reply to Crafter-Jack [2010-03-01 02:14:41 +0000 UTC]

His time spent teaching constitutional law is precisely why he should be held accountable for his clear violations of the Constitution. Did you not see the speech he gave in front of the Constitution several months back praising it and the rule of law, while simultaneously announcing a new policy of indefinite detention of terror suspects that violates the right of habeas corpus and both the Fifth and Sixth Amendments? Even Rachel Maddow called him out on that one -- [link]

And before you call me a neocon, I hated Bush just as much as I hate Obama. If you compare and contrast the Bush and Obama Administrations, it becomes clear that the difference between the two is trivial. Democrats and Republicans are two sides of the same coin to give the illusion of choice, while maintaining the status quo through a one-party system enforced by the left-right paradigm.

Obama is simply a flashy PR-created King Bush III set on continuing the systematic dismantling of the Constitution that has been carried out by the presidency for the past few decades. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Resorting to name calling, are we? Think about it. If there were openly a single political party in this country, it would be toppled the minute it did not appease the voting majority. Common sense. Is it really so far-fetched to infer that in order to retain the status quo in America, the powers that be in Washington (in other words, the conglomeration of special interest, financial and banking elitists, components of the military industrial complex, etc.) utilize a faux two-party system that keeps us bouncing between Republicans and Democrats like a game of Pong.

Let's take our last two presidents as a case study.

hydromorphone In reply to hydromorphone [2010-03-01 04:38:50 +0000 UTC]

Bush ran on the premise of small government, non-interventionism, transparency, and "compassionate" conservatism. We all know how that turned out. He increased the size and scope of government to unprecedented levels, lead us foolhardily into two unconstitutional wars, signed into law the largest affront to the Constitution since the Alien and Sedition Acts, condoned torture, etc.

Obama campaigned on the premise of reversing the policies of the Bush Administration, transparency, ending the war in Iraq (even going as far to claim that he would end it by the end of 2009 in a speech in Houston [link] ), ending the practices of the status quo in Washington, etc. Now that he is in office he has escalated illegal drone attacks in Pakistan and launched new attacks in Yemen, signed an extension of the USAPATRIOT Act without any additional civil liberties protections [link] , endorsed warrantless wiretaps and secret prisons [link] , utilized unconstitutional signing statements after vowing against their usage [link] , failed to prosecute Bush Administration officials that committed blatant crimes and abuses of power [link] , and is now responsible for one-third of the casualties in Afghanistan [link] .

I don't know about you, but I see a pattern in policy between the two -- a pattern that extends beyond the last few decades. There are examples beyond count that I can list, but I think my point has been made. Both are demagogues and both have subverted the Constitution and our Founding Father's vision of America.

I actually don't listen to Glenn Beck, nor do I think Obama is Hitler, and my juicebox is (so far) perfectly safe, but hey, don't let any of that stop you from making ridiculous assumptions.

There's actually some things about Obama I like. Take for example, the fact that in order to avoid any PR blunders on the War on Terror, that instead of capturing known Al Qaeda suspects, he's instead killing them with predator drones. Of course this drastically limits our information gathering process, but it's worth it to know a bleeding heart liberal supports an unnecessarily brutal strategy just to be safe from lawyers and the media. See? Even me, the evil neocon, and you, the fantasy nerd, can agree on some things.

Watch the film "The Obama Deception" on youtube and I really doubt most of you would be thinking this is so awesome.

Brand Obama lies to your face. Just fyi he has broken pretty much every promise he made when he was running. Why you people think he is awesome is beyond me. Social programming at its finest I suppose.

Now if you could do one of these with Ron Paul, that would be much cooler

Crafter-Jack In reply to jorrddo [2010-02-16 04:57:48 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, now if only more of us would get our right wing propaganda from YouTube the world would be a great place. Call it the YouTube deception.
The delusional conspiracy theorist that made that video, also made one about Bush, and about Clinton.
Look up paranoid schizophrenic. That will tell you what is motivating the Obama Deception.

ehh even this list is full of inaccuracies, and on issues that really matter, he has broken. He is a wallstreet puppet. Look at all of his cabinet members, all the people he has appointed. All wallstreet bankers.

but anyway it doesnt matter.. this is an art site, and people have the choice to make what they want.

God bless freedom and America

Well in a more polite term.. I may be from Canada but we have to learn and know everything in America.. kinda affects us, Hahah but I would have to agree with Rau-Le-Creuset..

Bush made alot of mistakes and left a HUGE mess for Obama when he took over..

I say give him a couple more years intill we can start judging him.

** That action figure is frickin awesome.

There is nothing wrong with Canada...you guys dont have mexicans(not as many anyways) People are polite, even to stupid people^^^(perfect example) lotsa snow....and ur government doesnt waste hundreds of MILLIONS* of dollars on a "War against Pot".....In my book Canada rocks!

btw thanks for the back-up. Stupid people are SO* hard to talk to.....they think they are always right....it's not they fault really, they can't help it, they where born that way. But once you draw things out in crayon it's all good.

um and......"** That action figure is frickin awesome."......is that ur sig....or?

Lol your so blunt! But that just seems to be the way you do your thing.. I never think anyone is stupid, and every country has there problems and America is close to the top right now but things work out with time. Everyone has there own opinion and in North America we are free to speak our minds.

Your funnie!

nothing wrong with blunt.......one of my favorite men in history said(and did) it better than most. "To achieve anything is this world, talk softly; and carry a big stick." -President Franklin Delano Roosevelt

and as for being funny....."All problems in this world should be solved with a laugh; because if someone can laugh at anything, including himself; then their is no limit as to the scope of that persons thinking." - anonymous
