"SHMEXYY" is definitely a good way to put it.
I love the colors you've used, especially for the background. It's all so bright and cheerful and happy and really just looks very nice. I'm also very fond of the fact that he's smiling himself silly, instead of moping around all brooding and mysterious-like. Guys are allowed to smile and be sexy at the same time. ^^ I do think that the bottom of his tunic looks an awful lot like a pleated skirt, with the way it sticks out and all, but it doesn't look that bad. It's almost kind of cute, actually. ;]
