Description
In an attempt to re-create my old Inphinity images, I've created something entirely different. XDI still like it, so it'll be my wallpaper for a while, at least. And I'm going to write down the (rough) process I used this time, on the off-chance that anyone's interested.
The image began life as a simple red square, filling the entire canvas. Then I used a cloud-rendering filter to add some black to the image, which makes up the bottom-most layer. The second layer was created using Pixelmator's "Sunbeams" filter. I duplicated this layer, shrunk it and removed some opacity from the center, and spun it using a twirl filter. The topmost layer is a simple black vignette-like effect.
In the end, I decided it looked more evil than I wanted it to, so I changed it to blue. If I remake the red version, it'll be with white instead of black. I also plan on adding a few more things in the background, perhaps some bokeh-style shapes.
