Hello everyone,

This is my submission for the Phantom of the Opera: Art of the Mask contest!

To briefly describe my thoughts when creating this piece, having viewed the musical, I believed that my firey technique could add a unique touch to this timeless tale of love and passion! Having photographed hundreds of images of real moving flames, (as I do with all of my pieces) I found, what I believed, was just the right one to depict the Phantom himself, which I rendered upon the fabled mask, as per instructed by the rules of the contest.

Aside from adding a rose to the image, which is of course both iconic and symbolic, I believe that I was able to capture the Phantom's intensity, his ghostly mystique, and of course his passionate love for both Christine and his legendary music of the night!

Once more, I ask that you please wish me luck everyone! Any and all support of my work would mean a great deal to me! Thank you again!
