I can’t believe I haven’t uploaded her yet, but this is my Ars Goetia OC, Astarte “Stardust” Ars Goetia! I drew this way back in November, so the art is slightly outdated (cough cough bad cough cough). This particular outfit is her “party” outfit, something similar to her more fancy formal wear, but more open and breathable so she can maneuver around the bars and dives a lot easier.

No, she is not related to Stolas or Stella or Octavia. The Ars Goetia are a multitude of demons listed within the Ars Goetia Grimoire, and Astarte here is based off of Astaroth, who’s name is suspected to come from the goddess Asherah or Astarte, a Goddess of war, hunting, and love. Thus I found her name!

Her story is still being written, but so far I have that she lives within the Gluttony Ring, rather than the Pride Ring like many other nobles do. Her family runs a highly successful sparkling wine business to cater to the gluttonous citizens of the ring. I might change this in the future, but I have her mother dying tragically, being targeted by the angels of death during a particularly nasty purge when Astarte was only 14. It might not be canon that Angels of Death go after royalty, but this is my story haha. She has no name yet, neither does her father, but one day I’ll come up with some lol. Her father is a loving, doting man but his priorities sometimes shift to whats best for the family versus whats best for Astarte. He is the one who gave her the nickname “Stardust”. He and her mother met at her mothers debutante ball and it was love at first sight. Their parents approved of the pair, and they were soon married. Stardust was born not long after that.

I have also thought of maybe adding a love triangle, with one option being another Ars Goetia owl demon named Vassago, one who she’s known all her life and the one her father wants to betroth her to. Vassago might be a spoiled, pompous Prince, but he’s very good-natured and adores Astarte. Does he truly love her? Or. Is he simply naively following his own parents demands? The other option, a particularly interesting sinner, a magpie named Passeri. True to his demon form, Passeri was a jewel thief when he was on Earth, with his hobby being bartending. He died when a heist went terribly wrong, being betrayed and killed by his partner. He and Stardust met when Stardust began to go to his bar, which he was able to purchase in the Gluttony Ring. Yes, I also know it’s canon that sinner’s can’t leave the Pride Ring, but again this is my story and I’ll bend a few things to fit it. Stardust and Passeri know they have a connection, but neither can act on it, with both afraid of what her father and the other nobles would say if Stardust married a mere sinner and not a noble.
