Pineapple pizza = yes! Seriously though, Stefano loves to screw people over, and even did that for a living BEFORE that stray bomb took out his right eye. Poor Jo-Jo looks like he's going to be sick, and Sebastian has his usual "Fuck everything." face on.

I'd love to see how a psychopath like Stefano managed to fake a perfect bill of mental health to get into STEM. It was his MO for luring potential models for his latest "murder paintings" to his studio after all: posing a sane, if eccentric, artist before revealing his true depraved, vainglorious nature.

I take pride in being weird, and you aren't the only one who found morbid fascination in those death sequences frozen in time. I prefer the portraits Sebastian had to destroy to get to the theater, and also the headless "angel" picture you can find a residual image of Stefano by. I like things that are inspired by Christian or Greco-Roman mythos but are altered or subversive in some way.

Stefano reminds me of Ghirahim from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (It's the hairstyle, and also his sadism streak in how he toys with Sebastian. Not to mention an insatiable thirst for blood.) and Pavi Largo from Repo! the Genetic Opera (The facial deformity and impeccable fashion sense are big connections, but there is also the fact that they are both Italian.)
If I had to compare myself to an Evil Within character, I would say I'd be more like Myra or Laura, i.e. someone who puts their own well-being second to that of those they care about and will react with anger to those threaten their loved ones.

I know this is just random, but I sometimes joke that my step dad acts like Sebastian and Joseph at the same time. Due to him always smoking and drinking makes me think of Sebastian with his habits, though I don't know what caused my step dad to drink, but for the Joseph side, he;s smart and sets his mind for things he wants to do.... Also the fact that his name is Joseph

Yeah, smoking, excessive drinking and swearing are all stereotypical behaviors for film noir detectives, which causes me to disconnect from Sebastian, despite him being the main playable character in The Evil Within. Joseph Oda reminds me of a lot of my high school/college friends in the fact that he is very methodical in his actions, taking notes on everything (whether literally or in his mind); there's also the metacognition (i.e. self-awareness) factor that the overwhelming intersection of consciousnesses is causing anomalies in his behavior, causing him to turn into a zombie. Metacognition is a key skill that my classmates and I were encouraged to develop to discover why and how our opinions were formed based on our reactions to literature, foreign language texts, science essays, and other subjects we studied.
P.S. I went to a girls' high school and a women's college. Some might call me sheltered because of it, and while I can agree that aspects of my life there were quite cushy, the rigorous and (attempting to be) well-balanced curriculum encouraged considering all parts of an issue, regardless of subject or relevance to the individual. In other words, while I may not know much about the psychology concepts in The Evil Within, I know about psychoanalytic theory and how to research where English lit. and Psychology intersect... with a bit of Music/sound theory too. Here's listening to you "Claire de Lune".

Yeah. Well... Sebastian's drinking and swearing reminds me of me. I don't drink alcohol, but I do drink a lot of cola and sometimes if I get to, root beer. Though I don't swear at home when anyone's there, but I curse like he does when I get the chance or when I get pissed off at a game. So I just mostly connect to Stefano and Sebastian. Stefano with his, well... You've seen his nature, and I already told you about what I think is my connection to Seb

Sorry for the novel-length comments. I am someone who likes to get their thoughts down on paper, or in passage form. Yes, I do hear you on connecting with Sebastian and with Stefano as well.
Um... this may seem weird, but for some reason, I always seem to gravitate toward gay or generally queer characters in various media. The Evil Within is no different. I have always suspected, from the minute I heard Stefano's voice over for the first time (It was lower than what I pictured in my head, based on visuals alone.), that despite all of the women he killed to serve as models for his "murder artist" photographs, he had a huge boner for Sebastian, if only for the sake of being a new subject to torture and an audience for his latest projects.

Its alright. I have time to read the long comments because I read way too much. Also stare at a screen while playing videogames and/or drawing.... or writing my book
But anyway, yeah I kinda think your right. But to scale, I'm a 14 year old who plays these games. So I'm just going by what I already know from watching horror and cop shows and movies. Also from what little I played of L.A Noir. Also, I think that's another reason why I like Stefano, is because of his voice. And... I know this is off topic again, but I'm dressing like him for the Valentine's Day Dance at school.

I'm in my early 20s, watching LPs of these games. I hope you have fun at the V-day dance, and that you scare all the weaker souls with your disturbing flamboyance (as Stefano of course). I'm treating my single self to a day at the movies after completing my lecture work, something dramatic.

It sucks I don't have a camera to scare them more just like pop up somewhere and take their picture... Though I can do that with my phone, but I don't have a flash on it. Also, my Italian accent sounds more like a Norwegian accent

I showed up stag to all the high school and college "dance" events I attended and had a perfectly marvelous time. Besides, showing up with all your friends is more fun anyway. I have the "pop out of nowhere and take a picture" thing down; I do it naturally when I go for candid shots of people I know. I hate it when pictures look like the people in them deliberately posed or forced their smiles, so I often ask for pictures in profile or with expressions other than a smile as they appear less forced.
I didn't detect a hint of Italian anywhere in Stefano's accent, despite the fact that he is supposed to be Italian, so I think you can work with what you have. As long as it sounds like him to you, I think it is great.

I think you can make it work. A prop camera will be great for future iterations, but as long as you do the makeup and fake camera lens eye, I think people will get the general idea who you are supposed to be. And if you don't, enlighten the "philistines" who don't play The Evil Within games.

Interesting. I had a couple psychology majors as my friends in college, and both of them are currently studying to go into pediatrics.
Hmm... I liked Yukiko, who acted as Lily's psychologist before she was integrated as a new core. Like Stefano though, she was killed off WAY TOO SOON. Damn Father Theodore wanting to steal the whole show with religious zeal and hellfire.
P.S. Is the following idea weird? Stefano's birthday was given as Dec. 22, 1985 in game, but considering his surname, I am tempted to give him a second birthday on Feb. 14th. This is because of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre and also because real hearts are macabre, bloody and disgusting to look at, much like some of his photographs. I got the idea based on how in Europe, a person may have two birthdays; one is their actual birthday and the other is their Saint's Day, celebrated on the feast day of the saint they are named for. I myself am named for the Greek Orthodox saint associated with Easter Sunday.

That is true. Yesterday in history we were supposed to learn about the massacre. But some of us already know what it was, which was me. I even managed to find some pictures from what happened. The gory history of what happened interests me. Even my own history since me being a Native american, we had a lot of bloody battles, even ones against the Spanish and other tribes.
Also I'm trying to make a fake camera right now for my Stefano cosplay for the dance tomorrow and yet I'm listening to Stayin' Alive

That song ("Staying Alive") makes me think of Andrew Scott, ever since Episode 4 of Sherlock came on the airwaves back in 2012. That song was James "Jim" Moriarty's ringtone that destroyed the delicious moment of dramatic tension at the start of the episode. It's not nearly as funny as Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock stalking around in nothing but a bedsheet in Buckingham Palace, but it was unexpected and wonderful irony nonetheless.
My parents did an ancestry thing for their 25th wedding anniversary, and it turned out my mum had traces of Native American in her results. It's not the same as being full-blooded Native American, but it was interesting to find out I could trace my cultural/physical blood back to another tradition of weird, wonderful and sometimes scary stories. My cultural heritage connects me to both Celtic/Irish and Greek mythology for oral tradition roots. I admit to not knowing the Irish ones as well because I didn't hear them often growing up, but people are always interested to hear about classical myth connections from me at the dinner table.

Can anyone really say they are 100% full-blooded anything anymore? All the emigration and settling down over the centuries has caused a lot of cultural/racial bloodlines to become convoluted, to put it lightly.
Funny that you are reminded of jacksepticeye with your stepdad's Irish accent; I admit that his freak outs are funny, Jack I mean, but I wouldn't say that that is representative of how all Irish people are. I guess there are drama queens and "normal" people no matter where you go in the world.

Awesome. I loved playing guitar hero as a teenager, especially the DS version on the go. It's way too bad they don't make games in that series anymore. I'd love to watch The Evil Within again now that I've seen the second game and want a better idea for the differences in location, storytelling and characters. Because I write in my spare time, in addition to reading/studying a lot for my library degree, I am quick to pick up on plot devices and can often guess future events. Hmm... if you were writing about Stefano Valentini, what outfit would you give him? Since you had the audacity to dress/cosplay as him recently, I am curious. As for me, I would dress him in a pinstripe suit (white with thin, black stripes), black Italian loafers, a purple dress shirt, a magenta/dark pink silk tie, a golden lapel pin shaped like a camera, and his signature maroon/dark red gloves. Maybe, I'd add a sheath beneath the suit jacket for his signature dagger and pockets inside for extra rolls of film.

If that happened, I'd likely go into a comatose state on the spot. Stefano is only interested in women for their bodies (to kill and pose for his pleasure), so it's a bit easier to snap myself out of it. And my mind is at a shipping war with itself over which is the better pairing: SebOda (Sebastian and Jojo) or Sebastini (Sebastian and Stefano). Oh my gods, and what about Ruvik getting in the mix for an unbearably psychotic threesome, whether acting alone or teaming up with Stefano against Sebastian?!

I didn't know "JoSeb" was the official pairing name fusion. I've seen first and last syllable name fusions too, hence SebOda and Sebastini. But the sad thing is that no shipping names will appear for Stefano yet (Game he's in is less than a year old, so not much fan art.), or as a searchable tag in the metadata I will be keeper of in the future.

It's my lucky day too, although when my parents got married over 25th years ago, the 13th of October was on a Thursday. I never believed in the superstitions of walking under a ladder (It's a safety hazard, not bad luck.), spilling salt (although, I do toss the occasional pinch over my shoulder for fun), and especially not black cats (They're too sweet to be bad luck, and every cat deserves the right to live. I hate that they are mass abandoned or killed on Friday the 13th and Halloween.) Kidman's black cat showing up as a sign of comfort during her DLC, and in Sebastian's office at the precinct at the station where he talks with Kidman in TEW2, is proof for me that the developers don't believe in the superstition "Black Cats are either familiars of witches or witches in disguise." either. This I appreciate.
